This mod does NOT use ModLoader!Read the ReadMe.txt! It explains how to install this!
As of now, the gems don’t have any uses other than tools and armor. If you have a reasonable idea for a recipe, please comment your idea. If I like it, I will add it and give you credit. If you encounter any problems, comment below so I can fix it.
Summary:
This mod adds four new ores: Emerald, amethyst, citrine, and sapphire. All four gems can be used to create armor and tools. I will definitely add more gems to this mod, but until then, there are only four. This was my first mod, so I hope you like it!
The Gems:
Emerald: Emerald is as fast as stone, but lasts longer than diamond. Emerald is as rare as gold.
Amethyst: Amethyst is as fast as diamond, but lasts slightly longer than stone. Amethyst is rarer than iron, and takes as long as redstone to mine.
Citrine: Citrine’s speed is between diamond and iron speed, and it’s duration between diamond and iron duration. Citrine is as rare as redstone.
Sapphire: Sapphire is as fast as iron, and lasts 25% longer than citrine. Sapphire is just as rare as diamond, but drops two to four gems per ore.
HOW TO INSTALL THIS MOD:
Windows:
1. Go to Start > Run and type %appdata% in the text field
2. Open your .minecraft folder
3. Delete the META-INF folder
4. Open up the bin folder
5. Copy your minecraft.jar file and paste it on your desktop or in a folder (just in case)
6. Open your minecraft.jar file with a program like winrar
7. Copy all of the files in Files For Jar and paste them into your minecraft.jar
8. Press yes to all when a box pops up
9. Close it, and run minecraft
Update 1.2 :
Credits:Added a new gem: Sapphire. Now when you put your mouse over an item this mod adds, it shows it’s name.
