No longer needs Minecraft Extended!
At this time, I am not allowing any of my mods to be added to mod packs or mod compilations. My mods are only available here in this thread and no where else.
Compatibility – BlockTallGrass (aka ru.class for 1.7.2) has been modified. Other mods that modify Minecraft’s new tall grass block will NOT work with this mod.
Other Mod Compatibility

NatureOverhaul (install my mod AFTER this one, else you cannot get my new seeds from Tall Grass – If you keep getting crashes from BlockGrowable, either you need to deal with it for now or uninstall NatureOverhaul. Note, I use Nature Overhaul, and I’ve never lost anything from these crashes. They’re annoying but not dangerous to your saves.)
Block ID’s – 151, 166 through 178 – Use .cfg file to change Block IDs (found in the /.minecraft/config/ folder)
Item ID’s – 5001 through 5104
This mod adds in Salt, a new world generating ore (will not appear in pre-explored chunks in old worlds), twelve new crops, and over sixty new ingredients and food items. If you love farming and cooking, this mod is definitely for you!
This mod is best used with the Painterly texture pack. It uses re-textured and colored blocks and items from Painterly and looks quite weird against the standard texture pack. Any texture I used from the Painterly pack belongs to Painterly, not me.
New Items Added
Salt – This is a new ore, which needs at least a wooden pickaxe to mine. It will drop four salt items that can be used in cooking. Since it breaks like redstone, you cannot obtain salt ore blocks without an inventory editor. Salt can be found near the surface like Coal.
Crops – Carrots, Cocoa Beans, Corn, Cucumbers, Grapes, Lettuce, Peanuts, Potatoes, Onions, Pumpkins, Strawberries, and Tomatoes. To find seeds for the new crops, break tall grass as if you were looking for wheat seeds. I’ve tried to color code them all! =)
Stage 1-2ish for all crops
Stage 4-5ish for all crops
Stage 7 and complete for all crops (except Corn – corn should be yellow in the center of the stalks)
Back Row – Peanuts, Potatos, Onions, Pumpkins, Strawberries, Tomatoes
Front Row – Carrots, Cocoa Beans, Corn, Cucumbers, Grapes, Lettuce
More Crop Screenshots!
Ingredients – Butter, Cheese, Dough, Pasta, all of the new crops, Flour, Cornmeal Dough, Corn Muffin Mix, Tortilla, Bottle, Mayo, Vinegar, Peanut Butter, Grape Jelly, Strawberry Jam, and Stock. (All these items should be able to stack up to 64, as they cannot be eaten directly)
New Foods – Fried Eggs, Fried Potatoes, Salad, Salted Cooked Fish, Pumpkin Pie, Pizza, Spagetti, Fried Onion Rings, Apple Pie, Apple Sauce, Baked Potato, Buttered Potato, Loaded Potato, Toast, Grilled Cheese, BLT Sandwich, Mac n Cheese, Fish Sticks, Mashed Potatoes, Fish Sandwich, Cereal, Popcorn*, Buttered Popcorn*, Corn on the Cob, Salted Peanuts*, PBnJ Sandwich, Raisins*, Corn Bread Muffins*, Taco, Nachos, Strawberry Pie, Peanut Brittle, Chocolate Bar, Dried Apple Slices*, Dried Strawberries*, Trailmix*, Ice Cream, Chocolate Ice Cream, Strawberry Ice Cream, Pickles, Chocolate Covered Fruit*, Noodle Soup, Ham Bone Soup, Cheese Soup, Vegetable Soup, Onion Soup, Peanut Soup, Cucumber Soup, Carrot Soup, Pumpkin Soup, Potato Soup, Oatmeal, Fried Pickles, Shepdard Pie, Strawberry Ice, Side Salad, Breakfast Sandwich, Coleslaw, Fish Lettuce Wrap, Fish Taco, Pork Lettuce Wrap, Pasta Salad, Potato Salad, Chocolate Peanuts*, and Pumpkin Bread
* Items marked with an asterisk can stack up to 8 and be eaten like Cookies.
Changed Recipes – Bread is now made by creating Flour (Wheat = Flour directly on a Crafting Table) and then combining Flour, Water Bucket, and Salt to create Dough. Dough is then smelted in the furnace to create Bread.
New Recipes – Picture Recipes Part 1, Picture Recipes Part 2, Picture Recipes Part 3
If you want only text recipes please refer to this GoogleDoc (look under the Food tab) for all the recipes and how many hearts food restore in this mod. Items marked in dark blue are already in Minecraft, light blue are new recipes from my mod (please note that some foods are smelted in the furnace, not crafted at a Crafting Table), and grey items are not yet implemented. Also, all my recipes are Shapeless! Yay!
Please Note: I am still attempting to balance item cost vs. heart restore of the items in this mod. If you have any suggestions, please let me know!

Change Log
1.5 – Fixed the cucumbers were ink sacs and potato seeds from TallGrass crashing the game. See 1.4 notes for how to install if you have a previous version.
1.4 – Completely re-made the code of this mod with the help of Advize! Now only uses 13 Block IDs total and gets rid of all un-needed .class files. Before you install this version, make sure to note any Pam Food Mod crop item and seed items you have in chests/inventory. It’s possible they may switch to different Pam Food Mod crop and seed items (lettuce might turn into cucumbers) when you re-install. Just INVedit yourself the correct amount after you re-install if you find they did. Nothing I can do to fix this. This will only happen once with old worlds. =(
You will need to COMPLETELY delete your /pamfood/ folders in both your JAR and /mods/ folder and replace them with the new folder. This is incredibly important!
If possible, just install this to a new JAR without any previous version of this mod (you will still need to replace completely–not just overwrite–my old /pamfood/ in your /mods/ folder). =)
1.3 – This mod now has a .cfg file! You can find this in the /.minecraft/config/ folder named Pamfood.cfg.
1.2 – Added over 25 new recipes, including Stock and 10 soup recipes!
1.1 – Removed dependency on Minecraft Extended/Preader, however crop blocks still use at least 3 block IDs each. Also, crops no longer grow smoothly, as I had to cut out four textures each. One I can completely condense each crop to a single Block ID, this will no longer be the case.
1.0 – Completed the mod!
Windows Installation:
1) Open up %appdata%, if you don’t know how to do this, start>run, then type in %appdata%
2) Browse to .minecraft/bin
3) Open up Minecraft.jar with WinRAR or 7zip.
4) Drag all files and folders into your Minecraft.jar
5) Delete the META-INF folder in the jar.
6) Drag the pamfood folder into your Minecraft/mods/ folder as well (if you don’t have a /mods/ folder, please create one)
6) Run Minecraft!
Trouble Shooting:
I have a black screen! – You did not delete the META-INF folder, you did not drag the pam and pamflowers folder into the Minecraft.jar file, and/OR you did not drag the pam and pamflowers folder into your Minecraft/mods/ folder as well.
